After changing my /etc/mtab to be a symlink to /proc/mounts, sshfs
stopped functioning:

servo:0:~> ls -al /etc/mtab
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 12 2007-10-22 11:44 /etc/mtab -> /proc/mounts
servo:0:~> TEMP=$(mktemp -d)
servo:0:~> mount | grep sshfs
servo:1:~> sshfs servo: $TEMP
mount: according to mtab, sshfs#servo: is already mounted on /tmp/tmp.TkRbkv7050

servo:1:~> mount | grep sshfs
servo:1:~> mount | grep $TEMP
servo:1:~>

It seems to be mounting, then checking to see if it's mounted, seeing
that it is, then failing.

I have found references to this problem on-line, but they seemed to
indicate that it should have been fixed, although in exactly which
version of fuse I'm not sure.

Thanks so much for maintaining, and please let me know if I can
provide any additional information.

jamie.
