I noticed that exim4-config already has a /usr/share/bug/exim4-config/script plugin for reportbug. Doesn't it make sense to request users to execute that script and send the output to the exim4 Debian package mailing list? I feel that the feature you request doesn't belong in -- and is quite distant from the scope of -- reportbug :). This is probably a wontfix. Will mark it as such if you agree.
