Hi, you are not using cdrecord but a bastardizd variant that does not really support to write DVDs.
To verify a real problem, you would first need to upgrade to a recent version of the official source: ftp://ftp.berlios.de/pub/cdrecord/alpha/ Make sure to install cdrecord suid root. Further hints: - Do not use dev=/dev/sr0, this is unsupported and deprecated usage. Cdrecord usually does not need dev= at all. If you have more than one drive call cdrecord -scanbus for proper dev= parameters. - If you continue to see problems, start with calling: cdrecord -v blank=full If the medium is in an unclean state, the drive may not like it. - If you still have problems, call cdrecord -atip to check the manufacturer and other information from the medium.
