I am glad daemon mode works. I really do recommend that you use it: it is far more efficient. I am considering deprecating CGI mode! However, it would be good to sort this out. The fact that daemon mode works confirms my suspicion that it is something to do with your apache2 setup. Are you using a vanilla configuration? What modules have you loaded?
