Soeren Sonnenburg was willing to work on this, though I guess he'll
use any help he can get :)

The problem is basically to reconcile the GTK event loop with the DBus
polling and the inotify polling. With that done, it's certainly
possible to get gpomme to wake up less often.

But it needs to be done. Like proper transparency with compositing
when available needs to be done ;)
