Installed emdebian-tools 0.5.0 (from incoming.debian.org) and got the following:

Need anything else? Apologies for what appears to be the massively
screwed up situation that is my attempts here... Also, tried working
with subversion version of emchain to see if that would help. Tried to
follow instructions at http://wiki.debian.org/EmdebianToolchain and
found that the path http://www.emdebian.org/repos/tools/emchain given
there to the svn repo doesn't work. The one at
http://www.emdebian.org/repos/current/host/trunk/emdebian-tools/trunk
gets me exactly the same results as 0.5.0.
