Package: spamassassin Severity: wishlist SpamAssassin can use both the new Mail::SPF and the old Mail::SPF::Query Perl modules for SPF support. Mail::SPF is fully compliant with the final SPFv1 specification (RFC 4408), whereas Mail::SPF::Query is a legacy implementation that has many issues and is far from compliant. As Mail::SPF has recently entered the Debian main archive as libmail-spf-perl, SpamAssassin should depend on that rather than libmail-spf-query-perl. SpamAssassin in Ubuntu already does. :-)
