Package: libxine1
Version: 1.1.8-2
Severity: important

libxine1 seems unable to handle ipv6 addresses. The messages "no plugin
available to handle MRL..." and "unable to resolve..." are shown and
none of the apps relying on libxine1 (kaffeine, xine, gxine) seem able
to open ipv6 streams. The streams I tested are the following:

http://virgin.6pack.org/vruk-hi.ogg
http://[2001:ad0::25]:8888/luarvik.ogg
http://[2001:688:0:13::1]:19000/frequence3.ogg
http://[2001:6b0:5:989::1]:8000/

libxine2 (+gxine) from experimental shows the same behaviour, while the
same streams are perfectly handled i.e. by VLC, mplayer and xmms.

Thanks

Mau
