Package: mtools Version: 3.9.10.ds1-3 --- Please enter the report below this line. ---
Hello, mtools has priority standard. Due to this debian-installer pulls it in any default install. This is broken, especially on systems such as the nslu2 where usually there are serious memory/disk constraints. Also, the popcon stats[1] seem to suggest that many people (87.84% - rank 13 in the Old stats) have the package installed but are not using it regularly, and I suspect that the fact that the package is installed by default has a role in this. More than that, I would say that the common use for mtools is way gone in 2007 with floppies gone and pmount present and working.
