Me neither, especially as IIRC 4.2 was recommended for among other things, Fortran support. But there are many things I don't understand in Ubuntu. For example that they never ever report any patches back to me. Oh well. That said, my day job environment runs on (K)Ubuntu and I haven't had an issue there either.
