texlive-latex-base: has a file ot1ptm.fd which references a font 'ptmr7t'. However the font file ptmr7t is contained in the package texlive-fonts-recommended but is not a dependency of texlive-latex-base The result is that when the font is requested I get the following: (/usr/share/texmf-texlive/tex/latex/psnfss/ot1ptm.fd)kpathsea: Running mktextfm ptmr7t mktextfm: Running mf-nowin -progname=mf \mode:=ljfour; mag:=1; nonstopmode; input ptmr7t This is METAFONT, Version 2.71828 (Web2C 7.5.5) kpathsea: Running mktexmf ptmr7t !
