Package: ikiwiki
Version: 2.12
Severity: normal

ikiwiki seems to use yet another flavor of regexps. Say I want to
ignore tilde-backups:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/programming/cwidget/head/doc$ ikiwiki --setup ikiwiki.setup
--exclude '.*~$'
Final $ should be \$ or $name at (eval 5) line 103, within string
syntax error at (eval 5) line 103, near "=> ".*~$""

  Ok, it wants a backslash?

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/programming/cwidget/head/doc$ ikiwiki --setup ikiwiki.setup
--exclude '.*~\$'
Final $ should be \$ or $name at (eval 5) line 103, within string
syntax error at (eval 5) line 103, near "=> ".*~$""

Nope, it doesn't want a backslash.

I'm sure there's a very simple thing I need to know to make this work,
but I can't find any documentation of it -- ikiwiki's manpage just says
it uses "regexps", but these aren't any regexps I know!

  Daniel
