Oliver, Could I ask you to use the reportbug tool to provide some further information on which versions of which packages you have installed. http://packages.debian.org/reportbug On first look though, I would suggest you should have everything running at KDE 3.5.8 or 3.5.7, but perhaps you shouldn't be running a mixed environment.
