Package: kaffe Version: 2:1.1.4.RC1-1 Severity: normal It seems the appletviewer program included in kaffe currently doesn't work.
For simple demonstration, I pulled some example applet from the web, e.g., <http://java.sun.com/applets/jdk/1.2/demo/applets/Clock/example1.html>. Compile (with kaffe), put the example HTML snippet in a file foo.html, call appletviewer foo.html results in java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: kaffe.applet.AppletViewer at java.lang.Class.forName (Class.java) at java.lang.Class.forName (Class.java:44) This happens for all applets that I have tried. The Sun JDK's appletviewer program can display the applets correctly. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.8-1-k7-nforce2 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Versions of packages kaffe depends on: ii kaffe-jthreads 2:1.1.4.RC1-1 A green threads enabled version of ii kaffe-pthreads 2:1.1.4.RC1-1 A POSIX threads enabled version of -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
