Here [0] you can find the summary of the problems with those licenses. Page refers to 2.0 versions [1] but the same still applies to 2.5 as the last paragraph on 4.a remains the same [2], it just references another clause not referenced in 2.0 version. I believe this may not apply to some of the CC 3.0 licenses, so you may tell the original author to choose a free license for the work. I've marked the bug as wontfix for now, but will remain open. Tell me if there's some news on the licensing of this theme (or any other of the already removed because of similar reasons).
