I have done what you told, without result.While searching trough many forums, I found an info perhaps linked to this in vncconfig manpage :
Note that without a running instance of vncconfig there will be no clipboard support.The problem is that the mentionned vncconfig, actually vnc4config is a part of vnc4server package, while I'm using tightvnc...
