Package: nagios2
Version: 2.6-2+etch1
Severity: wishlist
/usr/share/doc/nagios2/html/embeddedperl.html has some nice information
about some of the pitfalls of using perl scripts directly from nagios'
embedded perl interpreter, but it misses one I stumbled over the other
day. Apparently, when a script calls exit, p1.pl traps it and raises
die (why, oh dear God, why?). If your script has a $SIG{__DIE__}
handler installed, this will then be called, since die was raised.As this is, ahem, slightly non-intuitive, it would be nice if this was also documented in the html along with the other oddities of using the embedded perl interpreter.
