Package: fontconfig-config Version: 2.4.2-1.2 Severity: important User: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tags: piuparts-stable-upgrade piuparts-stable-upgrade-20071130
Hi! I have been analyzing packages for the piuparts test, and have observed that ~2700 packages fail the piuparts because a configuration directory belonging to Etch's fontconfig-config is not purged during upgrade to the fontconfig-config in Lenny/Sid. The gzipped log of the fontconfig-config piuparts run is attached. The problem is that the process Install Stable fontconfig-config -> upgrade to sid -> purge lets /etc/fonts remain unremoved. However, it should be removed. The reason is that some configuration files from the old version are not getting removed during the upgrade, as they should. In particular, I could observe at least the following: /etc/fonts/conf.avail/20-lohit-gujarati.conf /etc/fonts/conf.avail/30-amt-aliases.conf /etc/fonts/conf.avail/40-generic.conf Please consider fixing this bug, as it is a Lenny release recommendation.
