Pyicqt can't be used in cyrillic environment (because of encoding problems) without this patch from py-transports mailing list: http://lists.modevia.com/archives/py-transports/2007-October/004276.html Also, when used in cyrillic environment, /var/log/pyicqt/pyicqt.log file gets an exception traceback every few seconds. The following patch from py-transports mailing list fixes that: http://lists.modevia.com/archives/py-transports/2007-November/004314.html Please consider applying both these patches to the debian package.
