Given that xscreensaver *worked fine* before the latest Randr started causing Xinerama to claim that screens exist where there are no screens, I consider this a Randr bug.
There may be a way to work around it in xscreensaver, but as I do not possess a computer capable of exhibiting this latest Randr braindamage, don't hold your breath.
