It works for a colleague with metacity, it does not on my x86 desktop
(the original report was from my laptop) which uses sawfish, too. All
Debian unstable.

What puzzles me, iss that it only shows the top panel, not the bottom
one. Lookings at the gconf keys (those that I found, at least) of
both,  there's no difference besides their names.

My theory is that it is related to the feature of some applications
that open normal (not really fullscreen, with decorations etc.)
windows that extend up to the panel, ie. the maximum possible size
without covering any panel.
