I don't know if others wireless cards have same problem. but for debian etch i386, dhcp doesn't works for that usb wireless ( ethx cards works ) if dbus init script ( /etc/rcx.d/S20dbus ) is not launched before. After booting I have to restart ( as root ) networking script unless I move S40networking from rcS.d to rc*.d. /etc/network/interfaces: auto lo iface lo inet loopback iface eth0 inet dhcp iface wlan0 inet dhcp wireless-essid *** auto wlan0 auto eth0 Thanks.
