Package: clamav-daemon Version: 0.90.1-3etch2 Severity: important
Occasionaly after being in opperation for some time, clamav hangs with "Reading databases from /var/lib/clamav" in the logs. Clamav should complete this opperation in a short time, but for some reason it enters a state where even after hours it will not complete and appears to be in deadlock (possibly with fresh clam). The only solution when this begins to happen appears to be to purge the package entirely and reinstall it from scratch. -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-4-686 Locale: LANG=en_ZA.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_ZA.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages clamav-daemon depends on: ii clamav-base 0.90.1-3etch2 base package for clamav, an anti-v ii clamav-freshclam [clam 0.90.1-3etch2 downloads clamav virus databases f ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-13etch2 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libclamav2 0.90.1-3etch2 virus scanner library ii lsb-base 3.1-23.2etch1 Linux Standard Base 3.1 init scrip ii ucf 2.0020 Update Configuration File: preserv clamav-daemon recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
