Package: sendmail-base Version: 8.14.2-1 Severity: important User: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Usertags: piuparts-stable-upgrade piuparts-stable-upgrade-20071130
Hi! I have been analyzing packages for the piuparts test, and have observed that sendmail-base fails the piuparts because it doesn't purge some files. The gzipped log of the piuparts run for sendmail-base is attached. The problem is that the process Install Etch sendmail-base -> upgrade to sid -> purge seems to let the following files remain unremoved: /etc/logcheck owned by: sendmail-base /etc/logcheck/violations.ignore.d owned by: sendmail-base /etc/logcheck/violations.ignore.d/sendmail owned by: sendmail-base /etc/logrotate.d/sendmail owned by: sendmail-base /usr/share/doc/sendmail not owned WARNING: Though you will know this, let me reiterate the point that /etc/logcheck is a directory owned by many packages. Please remove those directories only if they are empty. Please consider fixing this bug, as it is a Lenny release recommendation [1]. Thanks.
