Package: backuppc Version: 3.0.0-4 Severity: normal Currently backuppc has: Depends: smbclient, samba-common | samba-tng-common Suggests: rsync, libfile-rsyncp-perl
This seems to suggest that backuppc is more likely to be used to backup Windows clients than to backup Linux systems, which IMO is just not true. IMO all packages listed above should be changed to recommends, which would get the packages installed by default but would allow the sysadmin to deselect the packages for the method(s) he does not use. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.24-rc4 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
