That is with libnss-ldap 251? The bug report indicates that 254 fixed
the problem for at least one of the reporters.
I use libnss-ldap, libpam-ldap, saslauthd and have since before
etch... Never seeing this issue.
sendmail, is the only thing I have that can really test the combination,
as my imap/pop server is dovecot (with its own sasl setup).
But sendmail auth has been working fine
