I have made version 0.8.1-2 and it is available at http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/s/swftools It has still some issues as Paul pointed out in http://lists.debian.org/debian-mentors/2007/11/msg00259.html I think the biggest issue is the xpdf as the swftools is not compatible with the libpoppler.
