Thanks for the report.  This is upstream bug #1318, and fixed in the
pre-1.1.8 packages currently in experimental (along with an extensive
list of other bugs).

Indeed.  I'll look into backporting the fix from the 1.1.8 branch when
I get a chance.  (Meanwhile, you can rest assured that the generated
files are at least platform-independent.)
