Actually I have to apologize... I completely forgot about the original
bug report about the init.d script not behaving correctly.
Your first patch makes perfect sense and I'll be applying it as soon as
I can get more time to dedicate to my packages (or if anyone is
listening and want to NMU it, please go ahead).
