Oops, I found now #432921 against libboost-test-dev which could be a duplicate of this bug. All tips in this bug nevertheless do not explain why linking fails for me as I do not try to create a shared library or something like this as the reporter of #432921 probably did. I asked now in http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.lib.boost.devel/169396 for clarification why main() is handled differently ...
