Package: gnome-screensaver Version: 2.20.0-2 Followup-For: Bug #352003
This bug still exists in the latest version of gnome-screensaver. I can reproduce it with the tomatoes package, when it's fullscreen. Because both windows try to override the other, it's impossible to clear the screensaver, and the only way out is Ctrl-Alt-Backspace. This can cause non-serious data loss, since I don't usually expect playing a game to end up forcing me to terminate my X session.
gnome-screensaver should use the same method as xscreensaver (which is checking the idle time), which will fix this problem with mplayer (as reported upstream), since mplayer sends null mouse movements to the X session to fool xscreensaver.
