Hi, i just wanted to let you know that this should be fixed soon. The Mantis developers just released 1.1 which uses UTF-8 as standard encoding. It will hopefully fix such problems. I plan to package this release until the beginning of the new year and will probably upload it to experimental, given that the upgrade path (migration to utf-8) needs some more attention.
