Package: alien-arena Version: 6.05-4.1 Severity: minor Hello,
I'm finding that as soon as mouse input is received, AA has a constant upwards motion that makes the view look up. You can fight it by moving the mouse down, but you have to more-or-less keep it moving permanently. It makes the game unplayable for me. I experience the same thing with quake2, weirdly enough, but not quake3. I have three mouse input device (a USB mouse, and an ultranav keyboard which has a trackpoint and a trackpad). I've disabled each in turn with sysfs to see if one of them was the culprit, but it occurs with any combination or any of them in isolation. I don't get drag in X generally and the evdev devices are quiet when the mouse isn't moving. UPDATE: I've just removed ~/.alien-arena and that solved it. Foolishly I didn't move it aside and inspect the contents first. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.22-3-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages alien-arena depends on: ii alien-arena-data 6.05-1 Game data files for Alien Arena ii libc6 2.7-5 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgl1-mesa-glx [libgl1] 7.0.2-3 A free implementation of the OpenG ii libglu1-mesa [libglu1] 7.0.2-3 The OpenGL utility library (GLU) ii libjpeg62 6b-14 The Independent JPEG Group's JPEG ii libsdl1.2debian 1.2.12-3 Simple DirectMedia Layer ii libx11-6 2:1.0.3-7 X11 client-side library ii libxext6 1:1.0.3-2 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii libxxf86dga1 2:1.0.2-1 X11 Direct Graphics Access extensi ii libxxf86vm1 1:1.0.1-2 X11 XFree86 video mode extension l alien-arena recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
