Dear Duncan, I am the new maintainer for ipmitool in Debian and I have uploaded the most recent release, which fixes a number of bugs we had reported, so thanks for that. However, there are still a number of bugs which aren't fixed by this. Firstly there are a couple which I have applied patches for to the version in Debian, which I thought you would appreciate knowing about. You can find the bugs with patches at [1] and [2].
However, there is still one reported bug which exists in the latest package for which we don't yet have a solution. The bug is documented at [3] including a typescript of the event. If you need any help or more information from the submitter I will happily get in touch and forward you any other details (or you can contact them directly, but it would be useful if you could CC [EMAIL PROTECTED] as I am doing so that we keep a log of what's happening on the subject).
