Package: smbfs Version: 3.0.24-6etch9 Severity: important mount.cifs occasionally reports error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) when mounting multiple shares from a Windows Server 2003. The problem typically occurs when an 'old' connection (i.e. at boot time, maybe a few days old) to the server exists. The Windows 2003 Server is member of an AD. Shares are mounted this way:
mount //xxx/xxx /mnt -t cifs -o ip=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx,user=xxx,domain=xxx,pass=xxx The error message can be circumvented by umounting all existing shares first (umount -a -f cifs). The problem is not restricted to amd64 (also occurs on i386 (i586)).
