I've received no reason why I should not upload this new version in the last few hours. I asked Bastian Blank on IRC on IRC if he was OK with me NMUing devmapper to solve this bug. The only reply I got was 'no', with no explanation why, nor any answer to my request if he could apply the patch and uploaded the package himself. Because of this, I decided to move forward with the delayed NMU. The new package is uploaded to the 10 day delayed queue now (gluck.debian.org:~tfheen/DELAYED/10-day/).
