2.16-2 sounds OK here. I'm not sure whether it is worth trying and getting a fix for a 2-release behind version, and I guess concentrating on getting 2.16 into unstable would be more profitable. I've got stdc++ linking bugs to solve first, and it's the only blocker for now. Working on it since some time already, I expect to push it ASAP once I'm done with them.
