Package: postgresql-8.1 Version: 8.1.9-0etch1 Severity: normal Recently we updated tzdata because of this bug: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=457938 But we find out that postgres duplicates the information of tzdata, so it was pointless doing just that. As it seems duplicate, we just do:
rm /usr/share/postgresql/8.1/timezone/America/Argentina/Buenos_Aires ln /usr/share/zoneinfo/America/Argentina/Buenos_Aires /usr/share/postgresql/8.1/timezone/America/Argentina/Buenos_Aires It worked ok, and we were wondering if perhaps its posible that postgres uses tzdata's information. Because having this information duplicated is disturbing and could cause this annoying bugs :) Thanks, Rodrigo -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (990, 'stable'), (900, 'proposed-updates') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-5-k7 Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages postgresql-8.1 depends on: ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-13etch4 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libcomer 1.39+1.40-WIP-2006.11.14+dfsg-1 common error description library ii libkrb53 1.4.4-7etch2 MIT Kerberos runtime libraries ii libpam0g 0.79-4 Pluggable Authentication Modules l ii libpq4 8.1.9-0etch2 PostgreSQL C client library ii libssl0. 0.9.8c-4etch1 SSL shared libraries ii postgres 8.1.9-0etch1 front-end programs for PostgreSQL ii postgres 71 manager for PostgreSQL database cl postgresql-8.1 recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
