they're not typos, I just forgot that python-support is compiling modules for all *installed* Python versions. To fix this bug I'll just add proper requirement to compile for python >=2.4 BTW: python2.3 is not supported by Debian anymore, it's time to remove it from your system ;-P thanks for bug report -- :wq!
