Package: fuse-utils
Version: 2.2.1-5
Severity: normal

Hi Bartosz,

I installed fuse-utils and provided a group (that already exists) for
users that will be able to use fusermount.
But users in that group are unable to use it.
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~ ->sshfs smtp: SMTP
fusermount: failed to create device node: Operation not permitted
fusermount: fuse device not found, try 'modprobe fuse' first
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~ ->lsmod | grep fuse
fuse                   36684  0
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~ ->ls -l /usr/bin/fusermount
-rwxr-xr-x  1 root root 18288 2005-04-26 12:13 /usr/bin/fusermount
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~ ->id
uid=1000(igor) gid=1000(igor)
groupes=20(dialout),24(cdrom),25(floppy),29(audio),44(video),50(staff),1000(igor)
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~ ->cat /etc/default/fuse-utils
#
# fuse settings
#

# members of the group specified by this parameter are allowed to use
# fusermount binary:
FUSE_GROUP=staff

# if the following is set to true, the group will automatically be
# deleted
# when the package is removed.
FUSE_GROUPDELETE=true

It is probably related to #306281 but I don't really know. Feel free to
merge them.
