as i ain't got all the comments via mail i will try to comment per hand:
first, Gilles asked "why upgrading to Mail::IMAPClient 3.x..." _my_ answer is simple: Debian/Lenny will use Mail::IMAPClient 3.x (at the moment 3.0.2) - right? I know, imapsync is not only used on Debian, sorry for that... To Gregor: My Patch is ugly! - it only helped my to _use_ imapsync. It only removes the warnings about Core::close (which Gilles's newest version allready does) and changed the regex to allow Mail::IMAPClient 3.x - nothing more. I must admit: working with Mail::IMAPClient 3.x is really not recommended. Some, but not all mails are transmitted over and over again since debians update to Mail::IMAPClient 3.x The headers of these mails where not changed. For now and with the current software environment under lenny imapsync works fine for creating a fresh mirror but not for keeping an existing mirror up to date. Anyway: imapsync is a great tool i used to keep a 1:1 backup copy of my fastmail.fm account and i would like to see it moving forwards. Gilles, maybe you will find a way to support the 3.x version of Mail::IMAPClient. If i can help, let me know how.
