Josselin: 1. If stable supported my hardware I would be more than happy to run it -- it is my preference. Is there a way to compile a newer kernel and still run 'Etch'?
2. Am I mistaken that I should report 'bugs' in your testing version? I thought that was important to do so you guys can resolve issues; did I do something wrong? 3. Is there a way to 'upgrade' my version of nautilus to match the gnome-control-center? I am sorry that I am new to Debian/Linux and do not know these answers. My hope to is cram as much knowledge in as possible so that I can contribute to the community. Thanks for your response and any suggestion you have to get Debian on my workstation. indigo196 (aka Chas) PS -- it runs great on my laptop. ----- Original Message ----- From: Josselin Mouette <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Thursday, January 10, 2008 7:35 am Subject: Re: Bug#459354: gnome: using change desktop background with right-click from desktop doesn't work To: indigo196 <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, [EMAIL PROTECTED] > reassign 459354 nautilus 2.18.3-3 > close 459354 2.20.0-2 > thanks > > Le samedi 05 janvier 2008 à 14:20 -0500, indigo196 a écrit : > > Package: gnome > > Version: 1:2.14.3.6 > > Severity: normal > > > > When using the right-click menu item to change the desktop > background> nothing pops up.
