Package: elinks
Version: 0.11.1-1.2etch1
Severity: normal

elinks attempts to use a named pipe in $ELINKS_CONFDIR, defaulting to $HOME/.elinks. If $HOME is in a networked filesystem not supporting named pipes, then when elinks is started, it prints

ERROR at ../../../src/main/interlink.c:329: The call to bind() failed: 1
(Operation not permitted)

and delays for a second 5 times.

Ideally, elinks should place its named pipe in /tmp (as many other programs do), rather than in its configuration directory.
