The problem is that this kind of bugs has to be fixed before we can make a swich from bash to dash as /bin/sh: it's a kind of chicken-and-egg problem. "Switching to Dash as /bin/sh" is a release goal for lenny. Bash would still be installed by default (Dash is unusable as interactive shell), but switching to Dash as /bin/sh would make many scripts (startup scripts for example) much faster. It wasn't really urgent, but I just fixed a few packages where patches were already available, since the fixes are usually minor and easily verifiable. Do you want me to delay the NMU? or is it fine if it's uploaded? -- | Lucas Nussbaum | [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.lucas-nussbaum.net/ | | jabber: [EMAIL PROTECTED] GPG: 1024D/023B3F4F |
