Additional info about the bug: I looked to the initscript and I have found that there is "< /dev/null" passed to the openvpn binary. In the case of automatic start at system's boot, this argument leads to skipping the pass phrase question. When removed, everything works as expected (consider there is no side effect). Why is it present there?
