why do you close this bug report ?
What makes you think I did?
It could be WONTFIX
Well, no, it's not a "wontfix", I will do something about it
*eventually* - as the plan was with the other bug I merged with.
maybe reassign to
ia32-libs, but certainly not closed.
There are already a couple of bugs outstanding on ia32-libs. We could
file more as more problems are uncovered, but we're waiting for the
current ones to get fixed first.
Why is that? Ubuntu has a better ia32-libs package than Debian does,
Could you be more verbose ?
Here's a simple example.
Ubuntu (gutsy):
knuth:~$ dpkg -L ia32-libs|wc
841 841 30279
Debian (lenny):
knuth:~$ lynx -dump
http://packages.debian.org/lenny/amd64/ia32-libs/filelist|grep "^/"|wc
660 660 31904
(and much less in etch.)
what does that confirm for Debian?
I can only confirm that for the same Wine version, Debian package doesn't work
for me. Rebuilding Ubuntu package for amd64 works for me.
You're building on Debian, not Ubuntu, right? Which versions did you
try? Before or after 0.9.49-1? And you never said anything about them
not working, what exactly is the problem with that?
It means also I didn't do anything for rebuilding and shows Wine works without
this ugly hack.
If you built it on Debian, your Wine probably won't have all the
features that Ubuntu's wine binaries do.
