After fetching the source for the coreutils package and invoking debchange to
add a new entry to debian/changelog, building the package fails whereas it
suceeds if I build the package directly after fetching. dpkg-buildpackage tells
me this:

> ...
> config.status: creating po/POTFILES
> config.status: creating po/Makefile
> touch configure-stamp
> dpkg-buildpackage: failure: debian/rules build gave error exit status 2

I couldn’t find an option to make dpkg-buildpackage more verbose; please tell me
if there is one.
