Package: makedev Version: 2.3.1-85 Severity: wishlist Hi! First of all, thanks for closing #437329.
In message #22 [*], I asked if you would object to putting /dev/cbm in the $floppy class, as this would be (IMO) the most natural permissions for that device. I see that you added it to $system in 2.3.1-85, but I'm not sure whether you disagree or just missed that message. Instead of reopening the old bug, I figured I'd file a new one instead. [*] <http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=437329#22> If you're interesed, I made the case for this in #437520, which requested a udev rule to relax the current root/0660 permissions, and Marco seemed to agree. Please take a look, and let me know if you have any objections. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (1001, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.18 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_CA.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_CA.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages makedev depends on: ii base-passwd 3.5.17 Debian base system master password makedev recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
