Package: netatalk Version: 2.0.3-7 Severity: normal When I installed netatalk it failed to start during the installation process (probably because of multiple network cards) and this resulted in the package being half-configured, and trying to going through postinst every time I installed other packages.
Once I fixed the problem that caused netatalk to fail to start (by adding appropriate router lines to atalkd.conf) the problem remained because the attempt to start netatalk failed because it was already started. Only shutting down netatalk and doing an install from aptitude (that is the re-running the postinst step) solved the problem. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.23-1-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_CA.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_CA.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages netatalk depends on: ii libavahi-client3 0.6.22-2 Avahi client library ii libavahi-common3 0.6.22-2 Avahi common library ii libc6 2.7-6 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libcomerr2 1.40.3-1 common error description library ii libcupsys2 1.3.5-1+b1 Common UNIX Printing System(tm) - ii libdb4.6 4.6.21-4 Berkeley v4.6 Database Libraries [ ii libgnutls13 2.0.4-1 the GNU TLS library - runtime libr ii libkrb53 1.6.dfsg.3~beta1-2 MIT Kerberos runtime libraries ii libpam-modules 0.99.7.1-5 Pluggable Authentication Modules f ii libpam0g 0.99.7.1-5 Pluggable Authentication Modules l ii libwrap0 7.6.dbs-14 Wietse Venema's TCP wrappers libra ii netbase 4.30 Basic TCP/IP networking system ii perl 5.8.8-12 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-8 compression library - runtime Versions of packages netatalk recommends: ii db4.2-util 4.2.52+dfsg-4 Berkeley v4.2 Database Utilities ii lsof 4.78.dfsg.1-3 List open files ii procps 1:3.2.7-5 /proc file system utilities ii rc 1.7.1-3 an implementation of the AT&T Plan -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
