Package: gnocatan-client Version: 0.8.1.59-1 Followup-For: Bug #289048
Hello,
I've run across the same problem, also on ppc, with version 0.8.1.59-1.
The i386 package on a different computer workes fine.
Attached are the logs of my self compiled 0.8.1.59 server and client.
I set LC_ALL=C for both and used the nickname "DebugPPC".
Default game with 2 players.
I created the AI player before connecting so I could check it's setup
move.
Now what I saw and tried:
The AI settlement and road were visible on the map.
The focus was initially on the chat entry-widget.
The cursor was
* normal X11 arrow everywhere except:
* text-cursor over chat entry-widget and messages multi-line
* double-arrow over resizing handle/area left and below the map area.
There was no road/settlement cursor over the map, even when
accurately pointing at valid positions.
Next I put the focus on the "Development Cards" field. (Actually, I
believe anywhere except the chat would do)
Then I clicked the settlement button. The focus reappeared in the chat
entry-widget. No special cursor over the map, nothing. No reaction even
with double, tripple, ctrl, ...you-name-it... clicking on the map.
The same non-results with the road button and both keyboard shortcuts.
The last test was a simple chat message to show off the nice colouring
;-) and it succeeded.
